R.I.P. Charles N. Brown (1937-2009)

Terrible news today in the science fiction field.

Charles N. Brown, Publisher of Locus, Dies at Age 72

As a long-time subscriber to Locus magazine, I came to know Charles Brown through his editorials and his commentaries and his thoughts about all things science fictional. I met him a couple of times, at WorldCons back in the mid-1980's and the early 1990's, and he was always kind and polite to me, and we talked about various things on several occasions.

His loss is a tough one for the science fiction and fantasy community. Definitely one of the folks who will be seriously missed.

Rest in Peace, Charles. Last edits coming your way. Stet.
