I did not get caught in the rain.
I went to Sleep Country and purchased a nice, Queen-size top 'o the line Sealy Posturepedic bed. It has a frame. There will be no fancy headboards or anything like that with the bed, just a basic headboard that I have lying around. When I get a bit more money at some point there will be a nice headboard in my future, but for now, just the basic headboard will do. The top of the line bed runs $1,200 Canadian, but I have bought this for $800+ during the Sleep Country sale. I did, however, buy two new pillows. For now, I will use the King-size linen that I have, but will gradually replace it with the proper Queen-size linen. Maybe. Who knows, I may like it with the King-size linen! The price of the new bed also includes delivery and installation, as well as removing the old bed.
All that's left tomorrow is to arrange the delivery date on the new bed.
To be honest, while I really wanted to go to GenCon, and all that good stuff, I'm quite happy with the decision to buy the new bed instead, and my body is quite looking forward to this...
