This 2-hour episode was the first of three during the first week of the season, and featured all eight of the male celebrities dancing, the female celebrities taking the stage (well, dance floor) tomorrow night. The show featured the pomp and the glitz that one associates with Dancing with the Stars, but I have to say that I wasn't overly inspired by a lot of the male celebrities ballroom dancing at all. I have to feel sorry for Cheryl Burke, the pro dancer who has been teamed up with Tom DeLay. I suspect that they will be one of the two couples eliminated on Wednesday night, but we'll have to see. Still, he's really not a good ballroom dancer, is he? :(
That was followed up by the second season premiere of Castle. I've been waiting for the return of the series for its second season, and the episode did not disappoint. From the murder scene, the developing relationship between Castle and Beckett, the fine acting of Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic in the main roles, the way the story developed, this was a pretty good season opener. We'll see how the ratings on the show do for this year, but I want to remain optimistic.
