Senators vs. Islanders Game
And so the Ottawa Senators played their third game of this early NHL hockey season.
They beat the New York Islanders last night in what was, at best, a lacklustre game. By a score of 3-2. In overtime, courtesy of a Mike Fisher goal. Where the heck has the offense gone...? Oh, right, it's living in San Jose now. :(
With all of that said, this looks like the kind of year where Pascal Leclaire is going to have to bail them out on a regular basis night after night. If the team can't score goals on a consistent basis, he's going to have to shine in net.
The good news in last night's game was the fact that Jonathan Cheechoo got his first point in a Senators' uniform.
The Atlanta Thrashers are next on Saturday night.
