To be honest, I'm not thrilled. The visual sequence is slow, it's boring, there's no "Oomph!" to it. What bothered me the most about it was the cloudy appearance of the Vortex, the lightning flashes, and the slate grey lettering for the actors' names that was difficult to read against the background vortex. I did like the logo, and the central bit becoming the TARDIS in the vortex at one point.
As for the theme itself, well... I was expecting great things since it was done up by Murray Gold, and to be honest, the theme is one of the most off-the-central-idea version of the Doctor Who theme in a long time. The version of the theme during the Russell T. Davies period was far superior to this, even though I liked the orchestral bits in the new version.
Perhaps the opening sequence will grow on me over the course of the series, but for now... I don't think I like it all that much.
