You wake up on a morning in the middle of April, and the last thing you expect to see outside is a freaking blizzard of snow and ice!

Okay, well, not a blizzard, per se... There's about 7.5 cms (3 inches) of snow on the ground as I type this entry, and it's been alternating between snow, freezing rain, sleet, and rain, and it's not supposed to stop until mid-afternoon. Meanwhile, it's extremely windy and somewhat cold, down in the 1⁰C (33⁰F), although it's supposed to warm up 2 whole degrees by this afternoon!

This is *not* spring weather, folks! The Goddess is having her annual Spring joke on us, and I for one am not amused. Having to dig the car out this morning before going out, slipping and sliding a bit on the snow/freezing rain-covered walkways and all, with the wind howling, was not fun. The drive was even worse, in some ways, but with all the slush out there, I was glad that I'm not a pedestrian on a day like this taking the bus in to work.

The only good news in all of this is that the weather forecasters called this one last night. Naturally, no one believed them, since after all, when are the weather forecasters right? :)

But I mean, snow in the middle of April? That's truly crazy! :)
