Books Read in July, 2010

As I started to post last month, I thought I would share what I've read over the past month. So, here is my list of books and other stuff read over the course of July.

Film Noir Reader 2 edited by Alain Silver and James Ursini (r)

June, 2010 Locus

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

May, 2010 Comics (11 Comics total)

Ring of Swords by Eleanor Arnason

Cretaceous Sea by Will Hubbell

Doctor Who Classics, Volume 5 by Steve Parkhouse, Alan MacKenzie, Mick Austin, and Steve Dillon (Graphic Novel)

A couple of notes on these reads. First of all, I had read two chapters of the Stieg Larsson book at the library and caved in and bought the book to read this past month, and enjoyed it enough to pick up the second and third books in the series as well. Second, the Doctor Who Classics is a graphic novel that contains some of the various comic strips and stories from the Doctor Who magazine, and I've really been enjoying these as they come out.

Overall, I managed to read 4 novels, 1 magazine, 11 comics, and 1 graphic novel in July. This brings my year total up to 38 books, 21 RPGs and RPG products, 9 magazines, 77 comics, and 5 graphic novels. I'm actually quite pleased with this year's book reading, to be honest, as I always slow down in reads during June through August, as it's the summer time and I want to be outside, and there's all kinds of RPG product out at this time of year. So, I'm doing pretty good for me book-wise this year.
