Friday night, the gaming group continued the Desolation that they are currently playing in. The new player, Angela, is fitting in pretty well with the Friday night gamers so far, and she's rather enjoying the game. I suspect the game will go one more session, but so far it's been good fun. And yes, I'll get to doing the write-up of that game session sometime this week.
Other than doing a bit of grocery shopping on Saturday, I went with spross down to Fandom II (not a great website, huh?), and picked up 18 twelve-sided dice. Since I'm going to be running Shadow, Sword & Spell at conventions and demos and the like, I figured it was only fair that I provide the gamers with the dice for the game, and having the extra dice made sense since I plan to run some other games in the 120 system. I watched another couple of episodes on DVD of Defying Gravity, and am still enjoying that, and then did some reading before crashing for the night.
Speaking of Shadow, Sword & Spell, the Sunday gaming group players created their characters for the game. The longest part of the process was when the players had to come up with the Hooks for their characters, and to be honest, this was the most enjoyable part of the character creation process for me, as it really puts flesh on the bones of the characters. Looks like it's going to be an interesting game with the Sunday group for SS & S, and I can't wait to get to it.
I didn't watch the Emmy Awards last night, as I was too tired to do so after gaming, making supper, and taking care of some other stuff. Had a cheese and vegetable snack while reading during the evening, and then crashed relatively early, even though I didn't sleep all that well last night. Humidity has been bothering me something fierce, but we'll see what happens with bed tonight.
