A New Month

September 1st. A new month.

The weather continues to remain the same here in Ottawa, scorchingly hot and extremely humid. They say it's supposed to cool off radically for the weekend, but I'll believe it when I see it.

My health is doing all right. The left ankle still hurts somewhat, but the swelling has finally subsided noticeably, and the diabetes doesn't seem to be too out of control. I've got to go for blood tests for that in the next few weeks, so will know more about that sooner rather than later, but it's been a relief to not have been to a doctor for closing on a bit less than a month right now.

Work continues at its usual pace for this time of year. I'm still enjoying the job, so that says something right there.

I continue to enjoy gaming. The Desolation post-apocalyptic fantasy rpg campaigns that I'm running are going quite well, although I will be switching game systems for a bit with both groups. (And yes, the Friday night game session report will go up here some time this afternoon.)

I can't talk about the stuff that I'll be doing for Rogue Games and the Shadow, Sword & Spell line just yet, but suffice to say there's a lot of good stuff in the pipeline, and I'm getting along well with the Rogue Games folks. Looks to be an interesting year ahead, and some fun (and busy) times to be had from now until the end of the year.

I also managed to get in a fair chunk of reading this past month, and I'll likely do my Books journal entry either late today or sometime tomorrow.

In the meantime, gotta go and be busy!
