Got up this morning, ate a healthy breakfast of an egg substitute omelette with 'shrooms and green onions, and then puttered around with some piles of paper in the den and sorting out a swath of character sheets for different game systems. After checking some e-mail and writing a little bit, took a leisurely shower.
Lunch was a simple slice of cooked chicken breast with a small salad, and a large glass of orange juice. Read and finished the first Nikki Heat novel by "Richard Castle" (that was a tough book to read, as the text was somewhat small, and very tight to the inside spine), and then went out and bought some fresh veggies for the next two or so days. Came home, and discovered that my two new Doctor Who DVDs, "The Dominators" and "Meglos", had arrived. I read another three chapters of the current Asimov re-read that I'm working my way through, and then checked some more e-mail.
And then, at 5:05 pm, I got the call. The doctor's office called to say that the doctor got my PSA blood test back, and that he wanted to see me next week, soon as possible. Since he had just returned from the holidays and all, had no appointments until a week Thursday, so that when Odette (his receptionist) and I booked the appointment for. Since the appointment was until the end of January, this does not augur well. Now I'm somewhat stressed and pretty scared.
Great end to the day, not.
