Spent another sleepless night last night, and I remember that I was having nightmares about running games at conventions without having a) the rulebook, and b) the adventure(s) itself (themselves)! Gee, I wonder what game this could be about, hmm? :) Oh, well, it's better than the nightmares I had about GenCon Indy 2008, where I had dreams of attending the convention naked because all the luggage was lost and the clothing places in Indy were all closed for some reason. Goes to show, eh?
I stopped off and did some shopping for veggies and spices on my way home from work. Ran out of garlic a couple of days ago, and I cannot cook without fresh garlic. Got home in time to marinate the meat for tonight's feeding of half my Friday night gaming group, as this was the promise I made for favours done me. Meat is currently cooking, and should be done within the next 20 minutes. ::knocks on wood::
Spent the rest of the afternoon working on the rough draft of my Primeval RPG scenario, "Peril Beneath the Streets", that I first mentioned in this entry, and had a pretty productive time of it. The scenario is shaping up rather well, and I've got a lot of the angst worked out of it.
In the meantime, this evening sees the Friday gaming group playtest the third and final Mutant City Blues scenario written by mytholder. Won't be able to talk about it, of course, but still having a good time running that system, and I can see myself running it as a campaign again in the future.
Will be spending a large chunk of tomorrow getting read to run Desolation on the Sunday group, since Tammy has decided that she doesn't want to playtest the stuff for Mutant City Blues. Haven't been able to find the gaming material notes on the game, in the various scattered mess that consists of my den at the moment. Heck, some days I'm lucky I can find my laptop in there! :)
Meanwhile, better go check on the meat.
