Clarence Clemons Dies at Age 69
Clarence Clemons, the legendary saxophone player who faithfully served for four decades with the E Street Band (and who was affectionately called the "Big Man" by Bruce Springsteen, died yesterday after suffering a massive stroke a week ago today. Clemons had a career outside of the E Street Band, but his claim to fame was working with Bruce Springsteen. I've always been a fan of good sax playing, after my dad introduced me to some great old jazz and blues when I was around 10 years old, and the "Big Man" was truly one of the greats in the field. Definitely going to miss him and his sound.
Rest in Peace, Clarence Clemons. The wail of your saxophone is going to be sorely missed.
