awakeThe Friday night gaming group met last night, and as per the birthday tradition that's been established, Nick ran a game of Desolation so that I get a chance to play in games once or twice every year. I'll go into more detail about the gaming stuff later today, but suffice it to say we didn't break up last night until 1:15 am.
I figured I'd get a chance to sleep in, but at 8:15 am the folks from Sleep Country called to say that my new mattress would be delivered between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. That phone call woke me up, and I could have used another two or three hours sleep, to be honest. *sigh*
Anyway, the guys showed up about fifteen minutes ago, and the new mattress is on the bed. Quite...hard...it seems to me. Probably won't be sleeping well on the bed until I acclimate to it over the course of the week, although I'm hoping there's no acclimation period if you know what I mean.
Anyway, gotta go and re-make the bed, shower, and then go out and do some quick veggie shopping before the afternoon heat strikes here. Later, folks.
