I didn't post up anything here of importance either Saturday or yesterday, as both days were pretty busy. That and the fact that I needed a bit of down time just to re-energise myself for the week that has just started and all.
I spent part of Saturday, with spross's help, doing up some game stats for some NPCs and location stuff for the Abney Park's Airship Pirates rpg for the Sunday game. I seem to be able to focus on character and NPC design a bit better when I have someone helping out in terms of the writing part of things these days, and I had a good idea of what I wanted to create but also wanted some input from spross into the characters and material as well.
One of the biggest problems I've been having of late is that I find myself pretty exhausted on the Saturday after gaming late on Friday nights. I don't know whether this has to do with the fact that this allergy/lurgy or whatever it is that I seem to have, but I always feel somewhat tired on the Saturdays, and use them to rest up and re-focus for the Sunday game that I run. Saturday was no exception. After spross left for the day, I rested up and did a good chunk of reading for the rest of Saturday before watching Saturday night's episode of Doctor Who, "Let's Kill Hitler". To be honest, the less said about the episode the better. Spent the rest of Saturday evening doing some reading and working on a music list for a friend of mine.
Woke up way too early on Sunday morning, and had a decent breakfast of croissant and café au lait that was quite tasty, and then did a bit more work and some reading up for the Abney Park's Airship Pirates game for the afternoon.
The game on Sunday afternoon went quite well, the boys (Tammy's not gaming at the moment) getting the hang of the the game mechanics relatively quickly although they had a few issues with the combat system but managed to work through those quickly and easily. After that, and some samples of combat, started to play the actual campaign. There will be a blog post about the Sunday game as soon as I get a chance to transcribe that one, too. :)
I felt pretty exhausted after gaming on Sunday, and so took a quick nap after the gaming group left so that I could focus and have a bit of strength for making supper. Spent the evening hours watching the night's episode of Big Brother (one of my vices!) before crashing for the evening after getting in touch with a couple of players about some stuff.
Once more, I slept somewhat poorly last night before the alarm went off at 5:30 am. I think I'll be glad to see the back side of August for sure, even though there's been some good moments and times this month.
In the meantime, back to my busy work day. Just a typical Monday, folks. Nothing new or interesting to see here, move right along. :)
