Friday Morning Thoughts

Well, Autumn has officially arrived, methinks. Or is it verging on early Winter? Eeek!

Woke up to a very cold morning, something like 50C, and was really glad to have the chance to eat a hot, oatmeal breakfast with a bit of jam, and then a hot cup of morning decaf coffee. I was fortunate this morning that the car decided to start without any troubles, and I picked up Donna and several of my fellow co-workers in the car pool that we have going.

Got in to work to find my desk somewhat inundated with paperwork for the morning, but I've already made a good dent in that stuff, and no one's dumped any more paper on my in-tray yet. :knock on wood: If the weather for the day stays cool like this, lunch will definitely have to include some hot soup today, perhaps an autumn vegetable or chicken soup.

Seeing that it's Friday, this means the weekend officially starts once I get out of work this afternoon. I'm seriously looking forward to the weekend off given the sheer exhaustion I've felt about this past week, and am also looking forward to gaming with the Friday night group this evening. Need to do a bit of vacuuming of the house when I get home, and have to finish a couple of things for the Geology course that I'm on while they're still fresh in my mind.

After that, the afternoon's all mine to relax and all a bit. Such as there will be left of it once I get home and do what has to be done, of course.
