Sunday Morning Gaming Thoughts

Getting ready to run this afternoon's session of the Abney Park's Airship Pirates rpg on the Sunday gaming group. It's not easy running this game (or any rpg, for that matter) on the Sunday group. Too many personalities at times, too many doubting Thomases, and too many game preferences among the players on what games they would prefer not to play.

That's not too say that the Sunday group isn't enjoying the game, per sé, but that they don't have a good grasp of what they're supposed to do in the game, and they're all pretty much struggling with *how* to be airship pirates. I think the Friday gaming group has a better grasp on things, to be honest, but even they're saying that they find the game somewhat limiting in what they can do within the Schtick itself and within the setting of the game. I think part of the problem may be me... I don't find myself having blinding inspiration about what to do with the game these days, and to be honest, that's not good for a game that you're supposed to want to run.

Anyway, looking forward to the game session, but have to get Ellie ready to head home as her mother should be picking her up any time within the next 20 minutes or so.
