The weather in Ottawa seems to have stabilised for the moment, with the temperature holding steady for the daylight hours at around -100C. Went out this morning very early and did a bit of grocery shopping and all. Not a bad haul, since veggies were in short supply here at Casa Kahane. The cold/sinus infection/whatever is still sticking around, and my back and legs are still hurting from their condition, but otherwise, it's a good day.
Gaming last night with the Friday gaming group was quite enjoyable as per usual, and the Primeval RPG game is going along swimmingly. I'm having a good time with the game, but to be honest, I've been a bit down about it of late, given that the game still isn't out on the market, and I really dislike running games with PDFs in front of me. That said, the players are having a good time of it, and their characters are just so "right" gaming-wise for this rpg. The game mechanics and the tweaks to it really are a good choice for the setting based on the tv series, and you can't go wrong with that.
The scenarios of both Primeval RPG and All For One: Régime Diabolique for CanGames 2012 are coming along quite nicely, but I'm having a couple of problems writing some of the material for the latter as I haven't really run the game and gotten a great feel for the "beats" of things yet. That will change when the two gaming groups switch systems in February, I hope.
Today is going to be spent catching up on some gaming notes from both the Friday and Sunday games, doing a bit of homework for Geology class, and just generally relaxing from the strenuous week that I've had. Oh, and there's a hockey game on as well. Other things will happen, and be dealt with as they happen. C'est la vie.
