A Sunday Morning

While I had planned to get a bit more rest on Saturday afternoon, as I had been up at 4:30 am to go to Geology class field trip, things didn't quite work out that way.

spross showed up after work around 2:20 pm or so, and I somehow convinced him to go out with me and over to the Book Bazaar used bookstore down on Bank Street to go look for some books on palaeontology and dinosaurs, not necessarily in that order. Spent over an hour perusing the bookshelves and seeing what was in stock, and found a few interesting books. I picked up a couple of texts, but by the time we left the store, my feet were aching and my back was...hurting bad (though I tried not to let it show).

After spross dropped me off at the house and headed home himself, I lay down for a couple of minutes, and didn't wake again until around 7:00 pm, so started to make the evening meal. I took a load off my feet most of the evening, and watched the NHL All-Star Game Skills Competition. It was fun, but didn't have as many light-hearted moments as I expected. When that was over at 10 pm, I had a small bite to eat for a snack, drank some water, and then crawled into bed. I would have done a bit of work getting ready for today's game of the Primeval RPG, but was just too tuckered out and feeling somewhat groggy.

Needless to say, I couldn't sleep too well because of the back pain, and I woke feeling disoriented and coughing a bit around 4:20 am. I couldn't get back to sleep, so did a bit of reading and just lay there in my nice, warm bed.

It's twenty past 7 now, so I figured I might as well get up and see what's going on with the world. Might even go upstairs and have breakfast. Damn, I could have used a bit more sleep and rest.
