For myself, my tv watching these days includes, in no particular order, the following stuff. Note these are the things I watch regularly, and I've probably forgotten one or two series in here, too.
=====
English football matches (soccer; I love the sport)
NHL Hockey (Ottawa Senator games, of course!)
Desperate Housewives - I got hooked on the series when it first aired, and while the second season wasn't all that good, the third season returned the series to the greatness that it had.
Grey's Anatomy - This medical show that started off strong about interns in the hospital deals more these days with the trials and tribulations of the characters' lives, but is still enjoyable tv. Even if Meredith Grey is one of the most annoying characters on tv these days.
Men in Trees - this wonderful series set in the fictional town of Elmo, Alaska (but filmed in British Columbia) is a marvellous series that combines the best elements of Sex and the City and Northern Exposure.
Big Brother - one of only two reality tv series that I watch, I love the rather sociological experiment overtones that this series has, even if some of the "Houseguests" are unlikeable.
Dancing with the Stars - the only other reality tv series that truly intrigues me, this series is just *fun* to watch.
=====
And to this list the spellbinding, new series Jekyll and the somewhat interesting The L Word, and that about covers my tv watching these days, other than documentaries and the like on Discovery, and movies and the like from time to time on Showcase, TCM, and one of the other movie channels.
So what are the various LJ and my other friends watching these days? And what new series that are coming up appeal to folks? (I haven't really heard all that much about the new series to air, other than Private Practice (the spin-off from Grey's Anatomay featuring Dr. Montgomery Shepaard). There's also Journeyman and The Bionic Woman; the former I will watch to see what it's like, the latter I might check out to see if there's any redeeming qualities to it.
