My Wednesday So Far

Home from work for the day, and am now getting ready to go for final Geology class. :(

Took off from work around 11:30 am this morning, and headed out for my check-up with the gastro specialist and the follow-up appointment. Was glad to get out of the office as a) boss was still cranky; and b) beautiful day in Ottawa. The temperature hit close to 270C; damnably warm for March, but quite lovely in its own way, with a nice breeze from time to time.

After the appointment, went and picked up my mom, and took her to lunch at Harvey's for burgers, and then over to Dairy Queen for chocolate and in my case chocolate and pineapple small sundaes. YUMM!! From there, it was over to the Ottawa Eye Institute to pick up my new, everyday glasses. Lovely. Very light. Dropped in to the pharmacy to talk to my go-to pharmacist, as mom wanted to see what my taking insulin might be like. She was not happy with what she learned, but accepted it for what it was. We'll see how things go, but I suspect that I may be on insulin within the next year or so.

Got home, so mom could pick up her car, and spross arrived at the house to drop off some rpg stuff for Savage Mars on his way home from work. After he and mom left, I got stuff ready for tonight's final Geology class, relaxed for about fifteen minutes, and am preparing to head out the door even as we speak.
