The Wheel is Complete

Surfing the net a bit to catch up with some of the news, and came across some sad news this morning. James Oliver Rigney, Jr., better known as Robert Jordan passed away yesterday, September 16th, due to complications from cardiac amyloidosis. Rigney was only 58 years old. He is best known for his epic Wheel of Time series of fantasy books, but was also known for some of his other works as well.

The Wheel of Time series of books are very popular, but I never really got further into them past the first few chapters of the fourth book. I found the series to be largely a waste of trees, but there are lots of folks out there who really enjoyed his work. He was working on the twelfth, and supposedly, final novel in the series at the time of his death.

You can find more from his website here.

Rest in Peace, James Oliver Rigney, Jr.
