Part of the reasoning here is that, to be honest, I have noticed that over the years I haven't re-read a lot of the Pratchett titles, and those that I have tend to be the very early books in the series. Add to that the fact that I've enjoyed the Tiffany Aching series of Discworld books much more than the rest of the Discworld series of novels over the last 10 books or so, and the fact that Nation was one of the best Pratchett books I've read in some time. Finally, there's the fact that these hardcovers are taking up a *lot* of bookshelf space, and...
Well, I'll be taking most of the Pratchett books that I own, with the exception of the first six Discworld novels, the children's Discworld books, and the non-Discworld stuff (other than that horrible (to me, anyway) Johnny series) to one of the used bookstores in Ottawa this weekend. The complete run of Pratchett books, as well as the various maps and a few other books will be going, with the exceptions noted above.
It's the end of an era for me, it seems.
In the meantime, off to take mom to another hospital appointment for a CT scan and set of x-rays.
