spross, I managed to finally get my hands on a copy of the new Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion set. What a very cool expansion for the game this is. For those who don't know what Ticket to Ride is, check out the website on this awesome railroad boardgame that can be played by the whole family. There are currently including:
Ticket to Ride (the Original)
Ticket to Ride: Europe
Ticket to Ride: Marklin
Ticket to Ride: USA 1910 (Expansion set)
and now the new game. Unlike the previous boxed sets of the Ticket to Ride boardgames, this one comes in a flat box with just a map of Switzerland rail routes and 46 Destination tickets, and requires one of the other T2R board games (the original, Europe, or Marklin for the Trains, Scoring Markers, and Train Car Cards.
Played a game of this last night with a couple of friends, SteveB and Kathy, and found that it's a remarkable game that has some very different strategies involved, but still has the Ticket to Ride goodness that one has come to expect from this line of games.
