Heading Out for the Evening

I spent the early afternoon at the retirement home where my mother is recovering from surgery, and we had lunch together as well as talked about a variety of things, and I brought her some reading material. I didn't have too much trouble getting the car out of the parking spot, and the condo snow removal service was just getting started in my general area as I was leaving.

Lunch at the retirement home was pretty good. I had a bowl of split pea and ham soup, a salad from the snack bar, battered fish 'n chips, and a bit of hot decaf tea to round out the meal. Very nice.

I got back to the house just around 3:00 pm or so, and the snow removal and cleaning of the parking spaces was done. My space was clean, but still have a found mounds of snow a bit tight on the right hand side of the car. It's good, though. Such is life.

I've spent the last part of the afternoon relaxing and getting ready for the game tonight. I'll be heading out to the west end of Ottawa in about 25 minutes for tonight's game session of the Primeval RPG. Quite looking forward to tonight's game, but need to remember to take some Robaxacet before I head out for the night, as my back is very bad.

Will blog more some time tomorrow.
