soreThe weather has gone from brutally cold yesterday morning to merely cold and somewhat damp today. (Lots of folks are going to catch colds and stuff from this weather change over the next week, but hopefully not me.) It's a strange world we live in these days.
Work is... work. The boss is in a better mood at the moment, which is at least making things tolerable here in the office. The work load on my desk is manageable, which is also good news. The bad news is my back. The pain has gotten somewhat worse the last couple of days, though it is still tolerable if I don't move around too much, but there are times when I want to scream. Or better yet, just stay home, in bed, and not move. Fortunately, I've got places to go and people to see and all that.
In other news, my mother is going home from the retirement home today. I don't know whether she's actually well enough to do so, as the recovery from the surgery is going to take another month or so, but she seems mobile and well on the way to her recovery. I would have taken her back to the house from the retirement home, but am not in that position today, given that I have to be at work. She's taking OC ParaTranspo from the retirement home to the house today, and I'll be keeping in touch with her about this all day.
In the meantime, back to work.
