An Afternoon at the Museum of Nature
Came back home from the Canadian Museum of Nature about two hours ago.
Had a really good time at the Museum, spending just over four hours there. My time there was pretty much spent lining up for the parking lot, lining up for entrance tickets, and just wandering around the entire dinosaur section and spending some time (and money!) in the Museum's gift shoppe.
As mentioned above, I pretty much spent most of the afternoon in the Talisman Energy Fossil Gallery and the extraordinary exhibit they had of over 30 dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals and marine creatures. I hadn't been in the museum since the work that I did on the Geology course last year, and so this was a treat for myself on Family Day here in Ottawa. To be honest, I had an absolutely blissful afternoon in the Museum exhibit, and would have stayed for several more hours if not for the closing of the Museum for the day.
I snapped a good 100+ photos of stuff at the Museum, and I know that
spross took several photos of me as well, so I'll be posting up some photos here on the blog over the next week or so, as the visual record just really speaks for itself.
