The New SF Series, Defiance (Spoilers in Links)

So, did anyone catch the 1-1/2 hour premiere of the new SyFy series, Defiance?

I honestly don't have a lot to say about the pilot episode, other than to say that a) it reminded me of a computer game, which it seems to be based on or vice versa (I'm not really sure); and b) it seems to be an amalgam of several other series with a few not so much new, but rather tweaked, ideas to it that may or may not last.

Over on the io9 website, Rob Bricken pretty much summed up most of my feelings about the pilot episode.

Defiance is not as good as SyFy hoped it would be... yet
