Change to My CanGames 2013 Schedule (Second Take)

As mentioned in a LiveJournal post late this week, there will be some changes to my schedule for the games that I'll be running at CanGames, 2013 in May.

I've had to cancel the two sessions of the a|state RPG that I was planning to run at the convention. I'm not going into the specific reasons here, but suffice to say that I can no longer run the game I was planning as my copy of the rulebook and the actual scenario that I was working on have been destroyed in a car accident. (I wasn't driving, no I'm fine, and so is the driver).

So I got in touch with the CanGames folks, and have managed to change the two scenarios that I'll be running on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm. The Saturday time slot of a|state has been replaced with another session of the Primeval RPG, a scenario that I've run before called "Message in an Anomaly". But the neat news is the Sunday game change. The folks at Cubicle 7 are in the process of putting a new game together called Rocket Age, a Golden Age science fiction rpg that uses the Vortex system from the DW: AiTaS and Primeval RPGs, to be released later this year. I got permission from the folks at Cubicle 7 to run a session of Rocket Age at CanGames this year, and that's the game I'll be running on the Sunday at the convention in the 2:00 pm slot!

So, here's my revised schedule of games being run at CanGames, 2013 this year...

*****
The Infection Factor
Game: Primeval RPG
Time: Friday, 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Number of Players: 5
Description: Portals in time, called Anomalies, have been appearing across the world for some time now. Your team works for the Anomaly Research Centre (ARC), dealing with these Anomalies and the creatures and people that come out of them. But sometimes it's not the creature that comes from the past that you have to deal with, but something else...

Message in an Anomaly
Game: Primeval RPG
Time: Saturday, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Number of Players: 5
Description: Since the Anomalies first started to appear, you've had to deal with your share of incursions. But this one's different. Someone's sending you a message from millions of years in the past - and the message is "HELP ME"...

Earth Serpent
Game: Primeval RPG
Time: Saturday, 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Number of Players: 5
Description: When an impossible fossil is discovered at an excavation, along with a mysterious metallic pillar, your Anomaly Research Centre (ARC) team must contend with the Ministry of Defense. Things get complicated when an Anomaly opens as well, but that means it's just another day in the PRIMEVALverse!

The Na'Gira Gambit
Game: Rocket Age RPG (No website yet)
Time: Sunday, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Number of Players: 5
Brief Description of Game:
When your characters are approached by a Martian faction to investigate the kidnapping of their favourite Princess, nothing is as it appears to be. Can you track down the Princess and set things to rights? Or will all-out war be the result of your failure? Rocket Age is the forthcoming Golden Age science fiction rpg from Cubicle 7 that uses the same mechanics as found in the DW: AiTaS and Primeval RPGs. Rules will be taught.

I'm pretty excited to get to run the Rocket Age RPG at CanGames, so, if you're considering playing in any of the four game events that I'm running at the convention this year, please don't hesitate to pre-register for the convention and sign up early for the games you'd like to play in. Looking forward to seeing friends and acquaintainces, old and new, at the gaming tables there this year. :)
