The players have just started to get into a scenario that I use for most of the rpgs that I run, called "Herbquest", and I have modelled this one on the old DragonQuest rpg scenario, Enchanted Wood, a marvellous adventure by Paul Jaquays that set the standard for scenario writing back in the day. The party has been hired to find the source of a mysterious "flying wood" that is in demand by one of the crafters in a nearby town. Needless to say there is more going on here than meets the eye, and the player characters are in for a good ride in this one. The session went remarkably well, and the group is back in the roleplaying mindset without even missing a beat.
The group insisted that we continue with Friday Film Noir Midnight Madness (FFNMM(tm)), and so we screened Criss Cross this evening, starring Burt Lancaster, Yvonne DeCarlo, and Dan Duryea. Good film, lots of interesting plot twists, but some of the acting was a bit sub par.
Should be a good year of rpg gaming, :)
Anyway, off to bed now.
