The players for the Friday night group will be starting the Atlantis: The Second Age RPG campaign this evening, and I'm quite looking forward to it. This is a sword & sorcery fantasy roleplaying game set in the Antediluvian world. It's a world filled with savage warriors, powerful magic, and cosmic horrors, and is a sword & sorcery fantasy game in the vein of the old Tor and DAW books, owing a lot to Robert E. Howard, Clark Ashton Smith, Michael Moorcock, and Fritz Leiber.
Tonight's gaming session will involve player character generation, and possibly some other stuff as well, but I won't know until I see how long the process takes the players. I'll be blogging about tonight's game session some time tomorrow or Sunday, depending on time constraints and how I feel.
In the meantime, I've got a pleasant surprise for those of you interested in the game in the next post. :)
